What's New in Los Cabos for 2026: Openings, Events, and Reasons to Come Back

Los Cabos doesn't sit still. The destination that spent a decade collecting golf trophies and celebrity chefs is having another growth year in 2026 — and even if you never set foot in a resort lobby (villa people, we see you), the new arrivals raise the level for everyone: more great kitchens, more courses, more reasons to return.
The openings
- Amanvari — Aman's long-awaited Baja debut on the East Cape: 18 freestanding casitas, an Aman Spa, and Italian-Japanese-Baja dining, opening through 2026
- St. Regis Los Cabos at Quivira — 120 beachfront rooms, butler service, and three signature restaurants joining the Quivira golf cliffs
- Grand Hyatt Los Cabos at Oleada — 300 rooms above the new links, late 2026
- Soho House Los Cabos — the members' club model arrives in Baja
- Ánima Village at Cabo del Sol — opened December 2025: eighty-plus boutiques, galleries, wellness spaces, and destination restaurants in one walkable hub
The golf event of the year
Oleada Golf Links — 7,336 yards of Ernie Els-designed links — opens in November 2026, the region's most significant new course in years. The same week, the World Wide Technology Championship celebrates twenty years of PGA TOUR golf in Los Cabos (November 2–8). If you're a golfer, that fortnight is your 2026 pilgrimage.
What it means for villa travellers
New restaurants to book (our concierge already has relationships forming), new courses to play, and a destination whose stock keeps rising — worth remembering for anyone thinking about property here. The best of Cabo remains what it was: a private home above the water, with all of this a short drive away when you want it.
Fourteen hand-picked villas, a local concierge, and eleven years on the ground. Tell us the trip — we’ll handle the details.
