Each winter, thousands of humpback and gray whales travel from Arctic waters to the warm sea off Baja California Sur to mate, give birth, and raise their calves. • Official season: December 15, 2025 – April 15, 2026
• Peak activity: January through March
• Most common sightings: humpbacks breaching and tail-slapping close to shore
• Gray whales: overlap with humpbacks in February and early March, especially on the Pacific side
• Mothers and calves: most visible from February onward

Boat, panga, or terrace?
